Woodwork

Children naturally live in the moment and they allow that moment to be what it is; magical and beautiful in every way! - April Peerless.

Woodwork involves a variety of learning and supports the connection and links of different learning skills. Woodwork naturally supports all of the characteristics of learning, playing and exploring, Active Learning and Creating and Thinking Critically. Children are taught under the supervision of staff how to use some basic tools and the safety rules involved. Children can then practise their tool skills while supervised by staff to create anything that their imagination desires. The children in nursery love the responsibility of using the tools safely to create.
