Learning Environment

Children learn as they play, More importantly, in play children learn how to learn. - O.Fred Donaldson

Children benefit from a large, well planned indoor and outdoor environment to explore their learning in. The indoor environment is zoned to provide a small world area, water/sensory play, woodwork area, home corner, malleable area, creative area and construction play. In the outdoor area children have opportunity to explore in the mud kitchen, water play, sand play, large construction, garden area, bike play and physical play. Staff plan and implement enhancements and provocations based on pupil interest and need that evoke curiosity and enthusiasm in the children to explore their learning in these areas.
