Team around the Child Support at St Petroc's Primary School
Our first priority at St Petroc's is to care for every child in a secure, friendly environment enabling them to enjoy their time in school and feel confident to learn.
In order to maintain this ethos, which is set out in our School Relationships Policy, the staff work together to support children's emotional and social learning to make sure our children feel secure in school.
In life, we all encounter emotional difficulties, what we hope is that we are emotionally resilient to deal with these encounters if they happen.
However, for some of our young people, for various different reasons, they have not built up age appropriate resilience and need additional support to manage their emotions and behaviours.
Our Staff including our TIS Practitioners identify children across the school who may be struggling emotionally and put targeted support in place for them to address their specific needs.
